    How to Lead in Global Teams

    Trainingsinhalt

    In a global world, teams are not brought together in just one office anymore. Leadership and being a remote leader is different from managing a local team. Communication and work are based on commited global settings. How can a leader manage a new work style despite his or her team works in different locations? Logistical, digital as well as cultural challenges need to be addressed.

    This training will provide knowledge and skills on how to be a remote leader and lead and adapt in a global world. Sharing opportunities and entrepreneurship as well as the transparency of information and needs are just two of the topics in Remote Leadership. Participants will also learn about fostering remote accountability, how to engage with global stakeholders and how to promote integrity and trust across disctances. New cultural ways of working mean we have to actively recreate our environment and perception. In this training, participants get a chance to do so by sharing their own Global Team Action Plan and learn how to unlock their leadership style potential (for example through co-creation with managers).

    Experience I bring to the table: As CEO of Stragilon, I bring a lot of practical experience with me.  Stragilon has clients worldwide and specializes in strategic agility and innovation. In addition, as a lecturer in an international MBA program, I am in contact with many researchers and students around the world.  Currently, I am working on the development of Digital Map®, which helps teams understand their own situation during a process of change and stimulates organizations adopt an agile organizational culture.

    What I’d like to move and shake with this course: In order to thrive, people and organisation naturally reinvent themselves. I want to inspire participants to innovate their own thinking and behaviour strategically while remaining agile the entire way.

    Experience I bring to the table: As a consultant at Stragilon, I have been leading strategy and transformation projects with our clients worldwide, ranging from organisations in the sectors of energy, engineering, banking & insurance, and NGOs. In our projects we focus on strategic agility, placing innovation at the heart of any person and every organisation. As organisational transformation begins with people and cultural transformation, I regularly give leadership training and coach managers in various organisations. Before joining Stragilon, I have workedin the area of computational engineering (Master of Science, RWTH Aachen University) at Bosch in Singapore and Germany, and after my MBA (Collège des Ingénieurs, Paris) as a project manager in the innovation department of Merck.
